The Sortino Ratio is calculated by dividing a relevant fund’s Excess Return by its Annualized Downside Volatility, where Excess Return is equal to either the applicable fund’s annual rate of return less either, at a user’s option, (i) the Risk Free Rate pro rated to the fund’s net asset value, or (ii) 0, and the Annualized Downside Volatility is equal to the standard deviation of the applicable fund’s rate of return that falls below either, at a user’s option, (i) the Risk Free Rate on the fund’s net asset value or (ii) 0.
